It is optimal to use containers with a volume of 1.5-2 liters. From these we obtain the design of the most natural appearance.

Step 1 – First the palm trunk is prepared. Brown containers are used for this. They are cut in the middle with a knife. It is recommended to make the lower fragment slightly larger. There is no need to throw anything away. Everything will be used in the work.

Step 2 – The half with the neck is cut. This must be done in eight places. The cuts are made to the area where the container narrows.

Step 3 – A petal is formed from each resulting fragment. It is optimal to give each part a triangle shape. In this case, you need to make a fold at the base, after which you should open out peculiar flowers from them.

Step 4 – Fragments with a bottom will need to be cut according to the same principle. In the middle of each part it is still necessary to make a hole with a diameter equal to the size of the neck.

On a note! To make working with plastic easier, it is recommended to use a hot knife.

Step 3 – Forming sheets. The lower parts of the cuts will need to be slightly twisted to make them round. It is recommended to narrow the fragments in the neck area, after which flat surface they need to be straightened.

Step 4 - All large details You still need to cut on each side. There should be 2 cm left in the center. The scissors must be placed along an oblique path. The cuts should go towards the tapered center from the sides that have been rounded.

Note! To make the composition lush and voluminous, each strip must be bent up and down through one another.

After selecting the rod and forming the plastic elements exotic wood you can put together a composition. It is recommended to thread the fragments onto the trunk one by one. The parts are fixed with the neck down. The larger parts come first, and then the smaller ones.

When most of the trunk is ready, you can move on to the foliage. Petals should be inserted at a height between the brown elements. It is recommended to work in checkerboard pattern. The first green fragment should be fixed to the pipe with tape. Then the leaves also need to be attached one at a time so that the gaps are securely hidden.

A palm tree created with your own hands does not require care, but at the same time it is great decoration interior The master class offers you the opportunity to create two versions of a palm tree - for the desktop and for the area near the house.

If you want to decorate your interior with exotic elements, then you can try to make a palm tree with your own hands, using one of the techniques presented in this master class.

To create your own simple option palm trees you will need the following materials:

Wire, the thickness and diameter of which will depend solely on your desire for the future size of the tree;

Pliers;

Sheets of paper with adhesive side;

Any material for wrapping a palm tree, here a simple pipe cleaner is used;

Make several pieces of wire of the desired length, their number should be about 8-10. The length of the wire is the height of your palm, so try to make it optimal for what you want. Attach a square of adhesive paper to one end of the wire, which will be palm leaves. Place future leaves on each wire.

Using scissors, give the squares the desired petal shape, making cuts in each of them that reach the wire.

Palm leaves must be joined together to form a tree. Now you should take a strip of pipe cleaner of any color to make it look more realistic, the most suitable would be a pipe cleaner Brown. Take all the wires with leaves in your hand and connect them using a winding brush. Once you reach the desired height of the palm, you can cut off the excess from the pipe cleaner. Leave one or two centimeters, this will later give the palm tree stability.

Set up the palm tree, giving the leaves the desired shape.

Make a palm tree with your own hands big size To place it in the yard of the house, you can use simple plastic bottles.

To do this, you need to collect green and brown plastic bottles, take a couple of iron rods and prepare a drill, as well as a knife and scissors.

First you need to make a trunk. From each bottle we cut off the bottom with a height of at least 20 cm. The edges should be cut into teeth and bent for clarity. This will allow you to obtain a scaly structure of the palm trunk. Also, in each bottle blank, you should drill a hole equal to the diameter of the iron rod; it will serve as the base.

Now we take the green bottles and cut them in half. Next, we cut the edges of each bottle according to the shape of the leaves. We leave the necks on one half, and drill holes for the twigs at the ends of the others.

The blanks are ready, it's time to start assembling the palm tree!

Attaching palm leaves is not as difficult as it may seem. It is necessary to take an elastic rod, quite rigid, but not thick. We insert the cut green bottles one into the other, neck to neck, and on the last bottle we leave a cork, which we drill and put on a rod; at the end the rod must be bent so that the leaves do not fall off.

Our master class is devoted to how to make a palm tree from plastic bottles with your own hands, step by step, from used PET containers.

If you have the desire and creative impulse, let's get to work.

Materials and tools

First of all, let's decide on the quantity and quality of materials. What container is suitable for our craft? Of course, every home has used plastic bottles, but are all of them suitable for our work? Of course not. We strictly choose only brown and green bottles for the trunk and crown. For a larger plastic beauty, a container with a volume of 2 liters is best suited; for a smaller tree, a one and a half liter container will do.

We will need:

  • 15-20 brown bottles for the trunk big tree and 15-10 for small;
  • 6-8 green bottles to create 1 palm leaf;
  • stationery knife or scissors;
  • a metal rod or wooden handle for attaching the trunk;
  • wire and rope;
  • scotch.

Below is detailed instructions on making palm trees with diagrams and photos.

Let's get started

Algorithm of actions:

  1. We create a crown for trees;
  2. We make the barrel;
  3. We combine structural elements;

Let's start creating leaves. To do this, take a green bottle and, using a stationery knife or scissors, cut off the bottom, as shown in the photo.

Then, on the resulting workpiece, stepping back 3-4 cm from the throat, we make frequent longitudinal stripes.

Note! The more often the stripes appear, the fluffier our leaves will be.

In the same way we prepare 5 more blanks. We insert the resulting blanks on top of each other. In order to fasten them together, we use wire or rope: we thread it through the neck and fix it. The first sheet is ready.

We bring to your attention the second method of making palm branches. To do this, take a green bottle and remove the bottom using a utility knife. Visually divide the bottle into four parts and cut it. The result is a workpiece as shown in the photo below:

Then we decorate the resulting sheets, for this we make sharp teeth along the perimeter of the leaves, bend the resulting fluffy leaves out, fix it.

Repeating steps 1-3, prepare the remaining parts of the crown. We remind you that one palm tree requires at least 6-7 leaves.

The procedure for creating leaves can be represented schematically:

Let's start making the barrel. As we know, in nature the trunk of a palm tree is covered with scales. To make our exotic plastic beauty as similar as possible to its natural counterpart, we will try to recreate the natural relief of its base. This will require almost the entire bottle of brown color.

Carefully cut off the bottom.

Cut the bottle into 6 equal flakes. It turns out such a wonderful “daisy”.

We create similar daisies for two palm tree trunks. We collect them together and fasten them in the same way as the leaves. The trunks are ready.

The number of blanks depends on how tall the trees are going to be made.

The resulting bases should hold the crown tightly; for this it is necessary to strengthen them with reinforcement or a wooden handle as shown in the diagram.

Quick assembly

Now that all the structural elements are ready, let's begin the assembly. There are several options for arranging ready-made elements. Let's stick to something simpler. We prepare the top of the trunk, cut off the neck from the brown bottle. Almost at the very bottom we make several cross-shaped cuts. This is where we will insert our crown. The assembly process is presented more clearly in the diagrams below.

Important! For the resulting masterpieces, it is necessary to make a foundation so that they stick well to the ground and do not wobble.

If you have the opportunity, you can prepare welded structure for subsequent concreting.

What wonderful and unique trees we have, so you can create a whole exotic evergreen alley in your garden that will be the envy of your neighbors. Imagine and create interesting crafts for your site, involve children in the work.

Use your imagination and decorate your tropical beauties Using colorful, smaller bottles, add fruit to the palm trees in the form of bananas and coconuts.

Pay attention to the creations of your colleagues, take notes and use the techniques and elements you like in your work. Some work options are shown in the photo below:

Such a tree will serve wonderful decoration holiday for children or theme party. The more plastic bottles you use to create one palm tree, the taller and more magnificent it will be.

Making a palm tree from plastic bottles with your own hands step by step

To create a palm tree we will need the following materials:

  1. Plastic bottles different sizes and flowers
  2. Scissors
  3. Scotch
  4. The basis for the future palm tree. Usually a metal rod is used.
  5. Frame for future palm tree thick wire or metal pipe.
  6. Styrofoam or artificial bananas
  7. Yellow paint
  8. Wire
Making a palm tree trunk:

1) In order to make a palm tree trunk, you need to take 1.5 liter brown bottles 2 and 2.5. First you need to trim the bottle from the neck side by about a third. You will need the upper part, but don’t rush to throw away the lower part - you can also make a barrel out of it by analogy.

2) Cut the bottom of each bottle with a heated knife. We will attach the frame of our palm tree to this cut.

It is necessary to cut the part of the bottle with the neck into 8 equal parts. You need to cut from the wide edge to the narrow.

Now we need to make these parts pointed in shape so that it looks like a petal.

3) We bend the resulting petals to the outer side - it will look like a blooming flower.

Palm foliage:

1) So that our banana tree leaves have appeared, you need to take bottles of green (preferably different shades), white and yellow. The more colors you use, the brighter the palm will look.

2) Cut off the edge of the neck and the base of the bottle. We cut the resulting blank from the bottom of the bottle towards the narrow part into 3 approximately equal parts, but not all the way. There should be about 3 cm left to the end of the bottle. We give the edges of each part a shape like a narrowed semicircular petal. We begin to carefully bend these petals outward just as we did the trunk of a palm tree. The result will be something vaguely reminiscent of a three-blade fan. Now we cut each resulting sheet from the edge to the middle. You need to leave a little uncut space in the middle - about 2 cm. It looks like a fringe. The narrower the width of the strips you make, the more magnificent the fringe will turn out, and therefore the foliage of our palm tree.

3) Now the fringe strips need to be bent in different directions. 1- bend it up, 2- leave it as is, 3- down. This is how the sheet becomes voluminous.

4) There are 2 ways to decorate leaves. In the first case, we leave our blanks as is, and in the second, the blanks need to be strung on a flexible wire to create long, voluminous branches. In the second case, you will need more bottles, but the palm tree will also acquire a luxurious crown.

Top of a palm tree.

We take a dark brown bottle and cut it like a blank into leaves - from top to bottom to thin stripes. We collect the pieces and wrap them inside.

Palm tree decoration.

We cut out blanks for bananas from polystyrene foam and paint them with yellow paint and carefully pass them through top part thin wire.

Collecting a palm tree:

1) Take a palm tree frame prepared in advance. This could be a thick wire or a metal pipe. And we begin to put the finished barrel blanks on the frame with the neck down. We put on the blanks first bigger size and we begin to compose the details like a designer. We compose until there is approximately 30 cm left to the edge. Try to arrange the petals of each part in a checkerboard pattern. We secure the parts at the base with glue or tape.

2) Depending on what kind of leaves you chose to make, there are 2 methods of attachment: 1-We begin to attach palm branches to the remaining empty upper part of the trunk. This is done in the same way as the trunk was assembled. Don't forget to use details different colors and arrange the leaves in a checkerboard pattern. 2 – attach the cable with the leaves strung on it to the frame of the palm tree at the very top and secure each leaf with tape.

3) Install the crown - glue the workpiece to the edge of the frame with the neck down.

4) We tie artificial bananas to palm branches

To secure our palm tree, we stick a metal pin into the ground about 30 cm deeper for stability (if desired, you can fill it with concrete), but so that at least 40 cm stick out from the ground - to string the trunk and put our palm tree on top.

Now our palm tree made of plastic bottles is ready.

Date palm, coconut palm, banana palm. Which one do you like? Today we will make an evergreen, beautiful palm tree from plastic bottles, which will decorate your estate and give you an exotic and warm mood. Feel the tropics right in your own backyard thanks to the very simple master class on how to make a palm tree with your own hands.

To make exotic wood from plastic bottles you will need the following materials:

  • Brown plastic bottles of the same diameter (approx. 2 l.), for the barrel;
  • Green plastic bottles (various sizes allowed) for palm leaves;
  • Scissors, stationery knife;
  • Scotch;
  • Plastic pipe or metal rod.

1. Let's start making the palm tree trunk. To do this, take a brown bottle and a knife. Remove the cork; you won't need it anymore.

2. Cut the bottle crosswise, with the bottom part being slightly larger than the top.

3. Cut the part of the bottle with the neck into six equal parts with scissors, reaching the beginning of the narrowing of the upper part, stop. Each cut part should be shaped into an oblong triangle or petals. To do this, round and narrow the cut parts.

4. Do the same procedure with the remaining half. Also use a hot knife or awl to make a hole in the bottom of the bottom half of the bottle with a diameter the size of the neck hole.

5. Make a fold at the base and bend the resulting plastic petals one by one.

6. Having opened all the petals, you get a hexagonal flower.

7. Do the same procedure with the other remaining half.

8. Cut the remaining brown bottles in the same way, make cuts and form petals. You will end up with many halves that will need to be inserted one into the other, with the neck facing down.

9. Let's start forming the trunk exotic beauty. To do this, take a metal rod or plastic pipe and thread all the blanks of the brown bottle onto it. Secure the lowest part with tape. When forming a trunk, it is important to distribute the bottles so that the petals occupy all the free space and do not leave empty seats(in a checkerboard pattern). The height of the palm tree depends on the number of blanks. The palm trunk is ready!

10. Let's start making palm leaves. To do this, take green bottles and a stationery knife. Remove the caps from the bottles; they are no longer needed.

11. Cut off the neck and bottom.

12. Then cut the resulting workpiece lengthwise into three identical parts, starting from the bottom, not reaching the top by about 2-3 centimeters.

13. Open the cut parts, leaving a hole in the center for attaching the greenery to the base of the trunk.

14. Bring the foliage of the palm tree to a natural and familiar appearance. To do this, make cuts on all sides of the petal, not reaching the middle by about 1.5 centimeters.

15. Round the petals a little and make the cuts diagonally.

16. Fold the resulting thin strips through one. Thus, the foliage of the palm tree will become more luxuriant.

17. Do the same with the rest of the remaining petals. For more lush greenery use palm trees a large number of green bottles.

18. Let's start assembling this exotic beauty. Place the made plastic greenery on the remaining pin of the previously prepared table. If the bottles are different in size, then place the large ones first, and then the smaller ones. To form a palm tree cap, you need to lay the bottles in a checkerboard pattern to get rid of unnecessary spaces of greenery. We attach the last green blank to the pipe with tape. To prevent the palm from being blown away by the wind, it is important to secure it by burying the bottom of the rod on which the palm blanks are threaded into the ground half a meter.
